New Stage Added - Acoustic Cafe Print E-mail

Due to such a high demand from artists wanting to perform at the London Acoustic Guitar Show, an extra stage has been added for both days. Check out the artists below who are so far confirmed. More to be added to the line up soon.

Saturday

Richard-CRichard Capener 10:30 - 11:00

Tall, red-haired, and sporting a long plaited beard, Richard Capener cuts a striking figure, and for guitar aficionados his playing will be just as impactful. One of the new breed of acoustic guitarists who slap, tap and bang on the guitar, Capener certainly has the skills, but manages to provide a performance with more than just technical merit. With his unashamed use of harmonics and neck roaming dexterity, Richard creates percussion, basslines and captivating "earworm" melodies. 2009’s debut solo album “River” received excellent response and acclaim from live crowds, fellow musicians and the music press. Richard is now performing extensively whilst working on a live EP and a new album.

rodneybranigan

Rodney Branigan 15:30 - 16:00

Rodney Branigan calls his music ”progressive folk fusion,” but that doesn’t do it justice. Clearly, he’s invented a new genre –– one that blends rock, folk, flamenco, madrigal, classical, bluegrass and jazz –– and, it all works. Most songs are instrumentals that are driving, thumping monsters. The vocal pieces are just as strong, but not quite as thrilling. Branigan plays music so compelling that you have to listen to it. It stuns the audience and hushes the room –– even in a bustling L.A. club.
