Will play Sunday main stage From his debut, BBC Folk Award-winning album in 2003, Sweet England, through Jim Moray (2006), Low Culture (2008: fRoots Critics Poll Best Album Award-winner and Mojo Folk Album of the Year) and In Modern History (2010), Moray’s career has been a continuous avowal of folk’s relevance to contemporary life and its total indivisibility from the impulses which shape the very best rock and pop. Now he comes bearing Skulk (2012), his best album yet, with the wherewithal to locate folk music in its rightful landscape: the modern world.

We are delighted to announce that Newton Faulkner will be performing at the London Acoustic Guitar Show on Saturday 22nd September! Visitors will be in for a treat with Faulkner’s performance, spending time chatting to the audience between songs and meeting fans after the show in his trademark relaxed and down to earth fashion. He truly is a musician for the people and of the people.
Faulkner will give a main stage performance on Saturday 22nd September, courtesy of Elixir Strings. Performance time to be confirmed closer to the date.
Tickets can be purchased from here
Newton Faulkner first entered our world back in 2007, when his debut album Hand Built By Robots rocketed up the charts all the way to the number one spot. Since then, the Brit nominated, acoustic virtuoso has toured relentlessly around the world and 2009 saw the release of his second full-length album, Rebuilt By Humans. Currently Newton is tour working towards his eagerly anticipated third album, Write It On Your Skin, due for release this July.
Faulkner now tours with an array of multi-media weapons; including cameras, backlit screens, organ pedals, kick drums and even a real working cassette tape player. As Newton states: “Touring is the best part for me, so being able to go out and give everyone a great and unique show is such an important aspect to think about”. To see Newton live is truly unimaginable and people are often quick to assume that there are backing tracks or some sort of musical wizardry going on behind the scenes. However the only magic that happens will be right there under your nose the whole time. “We don’t use any backing tracks, loop pedals, offstage performers or any of that stuff, what you see is exactly what you get.” |
