The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) is to bring its world-class professional music training to the South Coast with the launch of ACM Regional South Coast in January 2012.
The ACM Regional South Coast will be based in Bournemouth, opening in January 2012, taking over from The Music Factory, which has been providing music education in the area for over 7 years and will offer musicians the opportunity of a career in the music industry through a range of courses previously unavailable outside of AC’s Guildford base.
Approved Regional Centres will teach up to and including Further Education study. Each course has been designed to progress naturally through to a Higher Education (HE) study level, which can be undertaken at the main ACM in Surrey; giving students a progressive study path. The very first of these centres, ACM South Coast, is created in partnership with the team from The Music Factory.
Rob Birchall, Director of ACM Regional South Coast said, "We want our passion to spread into the community. From beginners to dedicated players, there is a course here for everyone. Musicians and aspiring musicians, young and old, have a truly fantastic opportunity to become a part of something that is globally recognised as a market leader and innovator. It is a privilege for us to be a part of this venture."
